Quality Checks
Quality checks let you run an AI review of your episode before it's approved. There are three types: canon, continuity, and safety. Run them in any order — or run all three back to back.
Running a quality check
- Open the episode
- Click Quality Checks in the episode toolbar
- Click Run next to the check you want to perform
- Wait for the results (usually 10–30 seconds)
Previous results are cached and shown immediately if the check has been run before — click Re-run to get fresh results after making changes.
Canon check
Compares every scene block against your project's world rules. If any content appears to violate a rule, it's listed with:
- Which block is affected
- Which rule it may violate
- A short explanation
Example violation: A character uses telekinesis in a project with the rule "No supernatural abilities."
Continuity check
Looks for internal contradictions within the episode — things that are inconsistent with each other regardless of world rules.
Examples of what it catches:
- A character mentions an event that hasn't happened yet in the episode
- A character is in two different scenes that logically happen at the same time
- An object that was destroyed earlier is referenced as still existing
Safety check
Reviews content against the project's content policy rules (configured by your admin in Admin → Settings → Age Rules). Returns a recommended age rating and flags any passages that may be too intense for the target rating.
Final approval
Once all three checks have passed (or you've reviewed and accepted any flagged items), click Final Approve. This:
- Records that the episode has been AI-reviewed
- Updates the episode's approval status
- Unlocks any downstream workflows that require approval
Requires the LLM_APPROVE permission (typically Admin or a user with the relevant permission override).
