Using the Assignment Template
What is the template?
The Assignment Template is a pre-configured set of roles and stages that your organization uses for every episode. Instead of manually adding the same roles to each new episode, you apply the template with one click.
The template is set up by an Admin in Admin → Assignment Template.
Applying the template to an episode
- Open an episode's Creators Modal (Assign button)
- Click Use Template
- The template roles and stages are instantly added to the modal
- Roles that already exist in the episode are left untouched — only missing roles are added
- Review the assignments, fill in any user fields, then click Save
What the template does and doesn't do
✅ Does:
- Add roles that are in the template but missing from the episode
- Set the stage order for newly added roles
- Leave existing role assignments (users) untouched
❌ Does not:
- Overwrite or remove roles you've already added
- Auto-assign users — you still pick the person for each role
- Modify other episodes — it only applies to the episode you're currently editing
